Introduction
Groundwater in many regions contains elevated levels of iron (5-15mg/L, up to 20-39mg/L) and manganese (0.5-2.0mg/L, sometimes exceeding 2.0mg/L). When iron exceeds standards, it exists as Fe2+, making water appear clear initially but becoming turbid over time with a ferruginous odor. Excessive iron and manganese can contaminate ion exchange resins, poison reverse osmosis membranes, cause scaling in boilers, and promote iron bacteria growth in cooling systems.
Our iron and manganese removal filter combines oxidation, ion replacement, retention, and clarification processes. Through customized design based on specific water quality, it delivers reliable, stable results. The system utilizes aeration to oxidize bivalent iron and manganese into Fe(OH)3 and MnO2, employing jet aeration or hollow multi-faceted ball aeration depending on concentration levels.
Treatment Standards
After treatment, water meets national GB5749-85 drinking water standards with iron content ≤0.3mg/L and manganese content ≤0.1mg/L. This makes it suitable for municipalities and industrial enterprises using groundwater sources with iron content typically ranging from 2-16mg/L.

Multi-Media Filter
This system removes suspended matter, particles, and colloids from raw water while reducing turbidity and chromaticity. It effectively filters out particles, algae, and other visible matter through advanced micro-flocculation filtration.
Our multi-media filters contain multiple layers of different filtration materials, ensuring SDI values ≤4 and providing strong protection for downstream RO systems.
